  32.        This section lists the subsystems (and their sizes) of
  33.        OCTANE Personal Video.

  35.        If you are installing this product for the first time, the
  36.        subsystems marked ``default'' are the ones that are
  37.        installed if you use the ``go'' menu item.  To install a
  38.        different set of subsystems, use the ``install,''
  39.        ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  40.        customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then
  41.        select the ``go'' menu item.

  44.               the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for information

  75.        installed using IRIX.  You do not need to use the miniroot.

  81.        OCTANE Personal Video requires the following software:

  83.           +o Digital Media Execution Environment 6.5 (dmedia_eoe)

  85.        2.5  _C_o_m_p_a_t_i_b_i_l_i_t_y_:

  87.           +o Monitors other than 1280 x 1024 or with refresh rates
  88.             greater than 72Hz are not compatible with OCTANE
  89.             Personal Video.

  91.        2.6  _C_o_n_f_i_g_u_r_a_t_i_o_n__F_i_l_e_s

  93.        The video devices have certain configuration values. There
  94.        are factory defaults for each device stored in:

  96.             /usr/etc/video/videod.defaults._d_e_v_i_c_e,
  97.  
  98.        where _d_e_v_i_c_e is impact for OCTANE Personal Video.  Using
  99.        _v_i_d_e_o_p_a_n_e_l you can restore these, as well as saving and
  100.        restoring a local configuration in
  101.  
  102.             /usr/etc/video/videod.defaults.

  104.        NOTE: The videod.defaults.impact file is installed as part
  105.        of the OCTANE and IMPACT Digital Media Common Software,
  106.        impactdm.sw.eoe.
